TITLE: DON’T BE QUICK TO CORRECT

AUTHORED BY PASTOR CHARLES AND FAVOUR CHUKWUEMEZIE

JAMES 1:19 “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:”

You may be a master fault finder and great fixer, but it’s important that you learn to control yourself. It is not everything that you see that requires correction, sometimes it may actually be you who needs to be corrected for wrong assumption. Also, it is not every fault you see that you must correct, sometimes it’s best you keep quiet.

Do you know it’s possible that what you think someone is doing wrong might actually have received approval by God. It’s true that there are people who will claim God’s approval of something when it isn’t the truth, yet that doesn’t change the fact that God doesn’t always make sense. So, we must be careful not to condemn what God approved, it may not tally with what you know and have been taught, there are sometimes exceptions to the rule.

Imagine someone going to correct Hosea when God sent him to go marry a prostitute? In our today’s world, it will take two full pages of a magazine… BISHOP CHOOSES A PROSTITUTE AS BRIDE. fellow bishops will not stop calling, visiting to warn him that he was making the biggest mistake of his life. Some of his friends will begin to hold vigils and fastings just to ask for God’s intervene. Nobody would believe him when he says God is involved.

Be careful, be swift to hear, and slow to speak, God may be pleased with that person you are displeased about. If it is too much for your understanding and the person is so important to you, pray for the person.

You know what? Do more of compliments than correction.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION
