TITLE: FATHERS SHOULD GIVE FEATHERS

AUTHORED BY PASTOR CHARLES AND FAVOUR CHUKWUEMEZIE

1 SAMUEL 3:8 “And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.”

A father is not the man with a large congregation orthe man that has been in ministry for many years about to retire. A father is that one who gives feathers to his children and releases them to fly. A father sees the greatness in his child and helps to give that greatness a voice. Any man who lacks a large heart generous enough to raise people into their destinies is not a father but a bulldozer of destinies.

Saul was a bulldozer to David’s destiny. He was never happy to see David applauded by the women who also sang his praises, he did everything he could to bring David down. That’s not a father.

An old prophet in the bible led a younger prophet to an early death because he was jealous of the young prophet. A true Father guides and directs, he doesn’t manipulate.

Samuel is a young boy, doesn’t know his left from his right, God calls him. Now he didn’t know how to identify the caller, three times he kept going to Eli, but once Eli perceived God was calling Samuel, he helped Samuel to identify and connect. That is a father.

We don’t have too many fathers in our generation who are willing to push the young ones to prosper, we have men competiting with young and old.

Fathers arise!
