TITLE: FROM GRACE TO DIS-GRACE

AUTHORED BY PASTOR CHARLES AND FAVOUR CHUKWUEMEZIE

1 SAMUEL 9:22 ” And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.”

Isn’t it amazing how we human beings can be so graced yet end in disgrace, how God can choose a man one day and rejects him the next day? I pray you don’t find yourself in such mess ever,  as long as you live.

Saul himself knew that by man’s standard, he wasn’t even qualified. The moment grace found Saul, that very moment God’s servant Samuel began to speak to him in an honourable way, and gave him seat amongst honourable people, even before the oil came upon him.
You may not have sat on the throne yet, still there will be men and women with eagle’s eye who will spot God’s grace upon your life. They may begin to honour you because they see far, don’t get carried away and think you have arrived. Some people have made that mistake and ended up not even getting to that throne.

Saul finally got to the throne, but he was so in a hurry not to follow order. He was too impatient not to wait, too indisciplined and careless not to stay in his own office and allow God’s servant to act from his own office. Saul was still alive when God anointed someone else to take his place. He saw his replacement whilst he was still alive. He was still alive when the people he was leading started singing higher praise of a little boy over him.
This is how many loose out from grace.

God gives grace and more grace to the humble. Don’t ever abuse grace. The day you do, disgrace won’t be far away because a fall must always follow pride.

Don’t disrespect the people God used to raise you in life. Don’t mismanage relationships with people who picked you up when you knew nothing.
Always appreciate grace.
