TITLE: IT IS NOT TIME TO RELAX

AUTHORED BY PASTOR CHARLES AND FAVOUR CHUKWUEMEZIE

AMOS 6:1 “Woe to you who are complacent in Zion, and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria, you notable men of the foremost nation, to whom the people of Israel come!”

Complacency is self-satisfaction and feeling unconcerned about the danger of not making new efforts.
It doesn’t matter what you have achieved or where you have just arrived, it is important that you know that there are still new and better opportunities ahead of you to make an impact on someone else.

The rich man in Luke 12 was called a fool by God for different reasons. One of which is, relaxation. Myopic people are self centred people. What else will make you to feel relaxed over one level of success, if not that all you think is yourself, satisfying yourself.

God worked and rested on the seventh day but it certainly has no comparison with complacency. God is still working. How do I know?

But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” (John 5:17)

“For it is God who is working in you, [enabling you] both to will and to act for His good purpose.”(Ephesians 2:13)

If God is still working, there’s no reason why you should retire. One success you reach should spur you to give birth to more. There’s no resting in your oars for a selfless purposeful man.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION
