TOPIC : BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE LEADER
BY:PASTOR CHARLES CHUKWUEMEZIE
You are expected to be efficient in any area you are called to lead.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Nothing should ever take you unaware as a child of God. God has packaged everything in us.
Genesis 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Man is called to live and manage. God made man to manage His resources. He made man because somebody has to lead.
Every one of us have been called to lead; God chooses the unqualified, qualifies them to show forth His glory.
Jeremiah 1: 4-5 Then the word of the LORD cameth unto me, saying,
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Whatever you think you are is not important as what God says you are.
Never mention your weakness ; if God is sending you, you are empowered.
God only wants the willing vessel not the qualified vessel because he wants the glory. Originally nobody is qualified, God qualifies people Himself.
God chose Rehab the prostitute and used her. The heart matters a lot. Rehab loves God and she was real. Instead Achan pretends to be a holy man; He took what belongs to God and God killed him and his family.
You don’t need to be perfect before He uses you. David was a murderer, Peter was unfaithful and He still used them.
1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Whose life are you touching? Do you preach the gospel?
Preaching is not the work of pastors only, it’s the work of every believer. Whenever you are dealing with people, find a way to make sure you talk about Christ.
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
If you spend time with Jesus, His glory will be seen in you.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
The moment you believe it’s not possible, your ability will begin to shut down.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Allow God to prepare you for what He has called you to do.
