ACTS 8:35 “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus”

Wow! Philip again. Philip turns out to be a passionate evangelist, he did it so well, now we have a lot to learn from him. It really takes direction from the Holy Spirit to be an effective soul winner, and Philip proves to have a sweet relationship with the Holy Spirit.

It was the Holy Spirit who instructed Philip to join the chariot in which he met this Ethiopian eunuch reading the Bible. Philip didn’t start by trying to confuse the already confused eunuch with big rhema or telling him how he hears the Holy Spirit. I’m sure the eunuch must have termed Philip crazy if he came into the chariot and started telling him that it was the Holy Spirit who asked him to join them.

Philip opened up the communication line by asking the eunuch, do you understand what you are reading? That’s a great soul winning strategy… SHOW THAT YOU CARE

Let them know you care. Not that you know, but that you are available to help. People don’t care how much you know, they want to know how much you care.

The eunuch opened up and Philip began to tell him the goodnews about Jesus. It must always be about Jesus, nothing else. In the end a soul was won to Jesus. The eunuch believed in Jesus.

Another thing that happened in the midst of this beautiful conversion that took place is that, Philip baptised the eunuch at the first sight of water. He didn’t tell him he needed to correct everything before he can be baptized. That’s another strategy… DON’T PREACH PROCESS, CHRIST IS ENOUGH.

Let your hearers know that it’s not about their righteousness, but about Christ putting on them His own righteousness.
Tell them salvation is free; don’t tell them them they have to fast for seven days before their sins can be forgiven, or before they can belong to a department in church.

Salvation is not cheap but it’s not difficult either, let everyone in your world know that Jesus is waiting with an open arm to accept them into His kingdom.
